Dr Mueez U-Din is a medical imaging scientist and leader of META-IMAGEOMICS. His work sits at the intersection of imaging, systems-biology and translational metabolism: by combining state-of-the-art PET, CT and MRI imaging with systemic multi-omics data (metabolomics, lipidomics, transcriptomics), he reveals how metabolic processes unfold across tissues in humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the core of Dr U-Din\u2019s research is adipose tissue \u2014 both brown and white \u2014 and its critical role in energy balance, insulin sensitivity, and metabolic disease. With a translational metabolism mindset, his group aims to transform medical imaging from static snapshots into a dynamic platform for decoding real-time changes in human physiology, inter-organ communication, and metabolic regulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this interdisciplinary approach, Dr U-Din seeks to identify novel imaging biomarkers and mechanistic targets that may guide early diagnosis, treatment stratification, and monitoring of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and related cardiometabolic disorders. Under his leadership, META-IMAGEOMICS aspires to contribute to precision medicine and improved metabolic health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
