Hi, I am Syeda. My doctoral research focuses on how cold exposure affects renal and peri-renal adipose tissue metabolism in humans, particularly in the context of obesity. I use metabolic imaging and physiological measurements to study how these tissues respond to cold and how their responses relate to whole-body metabolism.
I completed my Master’s degree in Drug Discovery and Development at the University of Turku, where my thesis focused on renal metabolism during cold exposure.
