“Hello, I am Syeda!. I earned my Master’s degree in Drug Discovery and Development from the University of Turku, where I studied renal metabolism under cold stress, with a focus on obesity. Currently, I am pursuing my doctoral research, exploring renal and adipose tissue metabolism and its role in inter-organ communication during cold exposure, particularly in the context of obesity.
My work aims to uncover how the body adapts to metabolic challenges and to contribute to new strategies for preventing and managing metabolic diseases.”
Syeda is registered in the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Research at the University of Turku, Finland. Her doctoral research is supervised by Adjunct Prof. Mueez U-DIn and Prof. Kirsi A. Virtanen.
